(INTRODUCTION) ....And so it begins: "I was born at a young age...."

Hello,

I figure that is the simplest and best way to get this started. A simple greeting to begin getting to know each other. If you are reading this, then it's nice to have you join me and my family on this little journey. Thank you for coming by. Feel free to stay a while.

I am a 47 year old husband, and father of 3 (grown, or nearly grown) children. It is my hope that each of them will contribute to this website going forward, so that they can all put their own mark on this.

As for me, I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and currently live with my family in a small town in Alabama.

My oldest child, Ducky, is my 21 year old daughter. (Just to be clear, Ducky is not her real name. I will not be using any of their real names for security reasons. Each of my family members have chosen their own names for this purpose). She (Ducky) is my artist. She has my sense of humor, which should scare you all. :) She's quick with the one line come backs, and sees the humor in the most unusual places....just like her father. She's also my caring one with a big heart (like her mother).

Next up is my youngest daughter. I call her "Sassy". She is now 18, and finishing her last year of High School. She is my fashionista. My decor guru, if you will. She is also my little spit-fire. Of my kids, she will be the first to tell you if she disagrees with something you are doing or saying. I've always found that highly entertaining. We do call her Sassy for a reason.

Last, but certainly not least, is my youngest. My son. We call him "Shyguy". He turns 15 in just a few days. He's my engineer. My one who likes to figure things out, and learn new things. He's also a creative thinker (they all are, really), who is good with video editing, and such. He also has a strong sense of humor, and loves to share whatever he is laughing about, so everyone else gets to laugh too.

I am extremely blessed, and very proud of each of them. It never ceases to amaze me as I watch the young adults they are all turning into. How each of them can have so many similarities, and yet be so different from each other. How each of them can share the same environment, and yet have such vastly different gifts, and things that they enjoy. It also amazes me that God looked at a schlub like me, and thought I was worthy to become the father of these three amazing "little" people.

These three wonderful younglings were brought to the you by their sponsor....urm.....I mean their mother. We will call her Angel. 23 years ago, she agreed to marry me, and after all this time, she hasn't tried to end me in my sleep, or anything. (I still think that alone should qualify her for sainthood). She is a teacher and one of the most beautiful and caring people I've ever know. She deals with alot of frustration (usually by me...sorry). She loves kids, and is my little "social butterfly", who seems to always know nearly everyone. She is the heart of this family, without a doubt.

That is my wonderful family. "Hello" from each of them.

I say all of that, to say this. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I appreciate your constructive feedback (keep it clean, please). This is only meant to be a light-hearted bit of humor. We are here to share a laugh, and possibly to, later, provide written material for our psychiatrist to use to determine what level of medication we should probably be on.

Thus begins our first family blog.
